I participated in a long-term leadership development program to become an effective Change Agent through spiritual intelligence.
The program was unique in the way it was tailormade. It was tailormade both to my personal needs and everyday life, but also to the challenges of the group and the operations of our specific business environment. I have never before been in a program, which was as tailormade to both the individual and the group as this.
I particularly enjoyed the additional coaching sessions, which brought focus to how the program could support my individual needs. But it was also a great learning experience to be in groups, connect with my team-members and discuss shared challenges in a trusted and supported environment. And the tools and practices provided long-term support.
We work in an environment, which is very dynamic with constant changes and many stakeholders. Among others, it was of huge value to become more consciousness of how we interact to create better relationships. And it helped us to know how we can bring out the best in each other to create better outcomes. And how to observe to understand deeper drivers of a situation.
For me the program came at a particular good timing. Having been in a stressful environment and situation over a longer period, I had without being conscious of it developed some very strong, stress related symptoms. Being in the program brought greater understanding to myself, the way I behaved and my reactions, and I realized that I was very stressed. Though the doctor wanted to put me on sick-leave, I managed to stay at work and heal my stress through the support of the training and personal coaching, which I’m very grateful for.
The leadership program also helped me to become conscious about taking better care of myself, and how to remove the obstacles that are blocking my ability to work in the most optimal and efficient way.
